Social media addiction and depression

There is a pull towards sadness or depression in life, we seem to go towards, pulled towards the sadness in a way that we can not seem to have any control. We always hate ourselves for it for being sad, the whole society aspires to live in  a forever happy fairy tale and the world has more than enough time ever to live in a dream state because thousands of movies, tv series, anime ,manga, songs can be accessed by your phone, it's an endless persuit to fill up the emptiness in our heart.

In the age of endless scrolling and streaming, it is very hard not to get ever waste your time on the social media and binge watching.
I am not saying this is wrong or right, no one can tell you what is right and wrong, because one of the foolish thing to do is give advice, but it's a shame that I am writing all this, because I, myself was addicted to a social media and I know now I could never get all those hours back, you may what else could you do instead of using social media, again only you can decide what better option you have other than investing your time in social media 4 - 5 hours a day, where you can have something meaningful, meaningful means something that takes you closer to the things you actually desire and seeking for in real life.

Social media is separating us from the nature and it's heavy use is not healthy. We are exploring the places but our focus seems to be more taking photos and sharing them on social media. This behavior is addictive and we often don't recognize it, there is nothing wrong with sharing but the down side is the seeking validation as well as your privacy.

Most people remain addicted to the things, people until the intoxicating breaks down completely, but human nature always gravitate towards the intoxication.

If you are addicted to something, the intoxication must break down, before you can be free from it, because in the intoxication of love, lust or any addictions we seem to lose our consciousness.
